What you will see

When enlarging documents from Statement/A5 paper size to Letter/A4 size, the output may not enlarge well or may come out broken, especially if the original has fine lines or Asian characters.

Recommended solution

The two options below should help improve the resulting copy when enlarging from Statement/A5 to Letter/A4:

Increase the darkness setting of the copier. See right-hand images for the steps.

Reduce the Background removal setting and increase the Contrast under Advanced Imaging. See right-hand images for the steps.

NOTE:
Another option is to try increasing the line weight or font size of the original document. This is possible only if you have the electronic version (soft copy) of the original document and the procedure will vary depending on the application used when creating the document.
