JPEG files do not print on the selected paper size from Google Cloud Print 2.0

What you will see

Printer Setting

Google Cloud Print App Setting

What happens?

Input trays are configured to handle Letter, Universal and other paper sizes.

Default tray set to Letter size.

Letter paper size is selected.

When you send a JPEG file to the printer, it may pick Universal (or another size) instead of Letter.

NOTES:

  • This happens only on JPEG files with a similar size specified in universal setup settings of the printer, where the printer may select best fit.
  • This happens only on JPEG files loaded from Cloud Print Management website.
  • This does not happen on local print.

Recommended solution

Uncheck the Auto Fit option found on the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) > Settings > Print Settings > Image Menu, and then click Submit.

NOTE: In order to expedite the support process, please be prepared to provide information regarding your issue, e.g., name and version of solution, problem description, and affected printer models.

Additional information may be requested by the support agent.
