Bleed Through Occurs During FTP Scanning of a Duplex Original

What you will see

When FTP scanning a document with both sides printed (duplex), the reverse side's content becomes visible in an area of the front side where a shade of gray is printed. This print/scan quality issue is also called “Bleed through” (see example below).
NOTE:
FTP – stands for File Transfer Protocol.

Some contents of the reverse side print become visible on the front side as pointed by the red arrows.

Solution

Bleed through can be minimized by adjusting the Background Removal setting when trying to make a copy. To do this, follow the steps below:

1 Press Copy.
2 Scroll to the right three times by pressing the right arrow, as indicated in image.
3 Press “Advance Imaging.”

Increase the value of Background Removal by pressing “+”. Then press the check button to apply the settings.


Note:
Continue adjusting the Background Removal settings until desired result is achieved.
