When FTP scanning a document with both sides printed (duplex), the reverse side's content becomes visible in an area of the front side where a shade of gray is printed. This print/scan quality issue is also called “Bleed through” (see example below).
NOTE:FTP – stands for File Transfer Protocol.

Solution
Bleed through can be minimized by adjusting the Background Removal setting when trying to make a copy. To do this, follow the steps below:

| 1 | Press Copy. | |
| 2 | Scroll to the right three times by pressing the right arrow, as indicated in image. | |
| 3 | Press “Advance Imaging.” | |
| 4 | Increase the value of Background Removal by pressing “+”. Then press the check button to apply the settings.
Note: Continue adjusting the Background Removal settings until desired result is achieved.
