The control panel displays a 241.06 error code. This error code results when paper in Tray 1 cannot be pulled by the pick arm (ACM) assembly. In this instance, the paper-present sensor is sensing paper in the tray.
Note: In 24x.06, 'x' represents the number of tray number affected; i.e., 241.06 for Tray 1 and 242.06 for Tray 2).
TIP: Verify you are using genuine Lexmark toner cartridges. Third-party (non-genuine) toner cartridges are known to leak from the toner cartridge and/or overfill the imaging unit, causing third-party toner to leak into the printer and contaminate the pick tires.
Older types of pick tires, which were gray or tan in color, can possibly cause this issue. Follow steps below to troubleshoot this issue.
Pull the tray out from the drawer and locate the pick tires (A).
Check if they belong to the newer type of pick tires, which are green in color.
Replace pick tires with the newer type if the older type are still installed.
