Horizontal band at the top of the page check

Issue description

On a single page, a horizontal, dark band located about 37mm or 1-1/2 inches from the page top can be seen. This typically appears in a graphic but can also appear in text. See sample print here.

Possible cause:

Toner contamination on the Charge roll.

The band appears in the first 37mm (1-1/2") of a page. Typically, it will clear up in the first 30-40 pages or with continuous printing.

If the defect still occurs after a continuous printing, please contact Lexmark Technical Support to replace the printer's Imaging Unit.

If the issue persists, search for more information related to this issue or contact support for further assistance.
