Working as designed

The scenarios presented above are NOT a hard stop, which means that simply pressing Continue will remove the error and the printer will continue printing.

NOTE:
Hard stop is a state in which the device ceases to function until a particular part has been replaced.

The intent of these intervention messages is for users to print some plain paper in between vinyl label printing in order to ensure the highest fuser reliability.

IMPORTANT! The fuser can be damaged when it prints too many consecutive vinyl labels without an appropriate mixture of plain paper printing intermingled in with the vinyl label printing.

Recommendation

To obtain the highest fuser reliability, Lexmark recommends you to print some plain paper in between Vinyl label printing jobs. If you intend to print significant amount of Vinyl labels, however, Lexmark recommends you use printer models MS710 or MS711.

NOTE:
For more information about Vinyl label printing, see the printer’s User’s Guide.
