A “Could not find shortcut #...” message displays on the control panel while you enter the shortcut code via the printer’s KEYPAD in the Fax menu.
Note: It works when pressing the # key directly while on the main screen and entering the code (e.g., five-digit shortcut) or using the TOUCH SCREENnumeric pad while in the Fax menu.

It appears that you are only given about two to four seconds to enter the entire fax shortcut code; thus, the printer search result comes up with an error due to an incomplete code.
