Recommended Service Action

Before replacing any parts, the technician should do the following:

  • Power cycle the device.
  • Verify that there are no Green LED lights on or main fan running on the machine; if the fan is running or any lights are flashing, tap the touch screen.
  • Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet. Also verify that the printer is the correct voltage-type.
  • Try another outlet or verify that other electronic items will power on from the suspect outlet.
  • If the Main Fan is not running during boot up, see No power.
  • If Main Fan is on during boot up, inspect the Operator panel connection at System card (JOPP1) for any obstructions. If the connections look okay, reseat or re-plug the cable at System card (JOPP1) and the other end of Operator panel, making sure it is seated properly on its connector.
