Issue Description:
This article provides basic instructions for controlling which functions can be accessed or viewed on the Home Screen. It also helps explain the primary difference between hiding a function's icon and completely deauthorizing or deactivating it for a particular user or group.
Removing home screen functions:
The following configuration settings require access to the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS); i.e., enter http://printer's_IP_address into your web browser, where IP_address is the TCP/IP address of the printer.
To Simply remove icons from the Home Screen but not disable the function:
Navigate to Settings> Device > Visible Home Screen Icons
Uncheck the icons you want to remove from the Home Screen.
Click Save.
Completely remove the icon and disable the function for public or authenticated users.
Navigate to Settings> Security > Login Methods >Public > Manage Permissions.
Uncheck all functions that you want to deauthorize for any user or group of users.
Click Save.
