How to set up the envelope tray for first time use

1. Check the printer firmware.

   • If the printer firmware level meets the above requirements (at least FW4), skip Steps3 and 4.
   • If there is an SPR (Special Product Request) firmware on the printer, it needs to be at least at the FW 4 level.
   • If the printer's SPR firmware is older than FW4, please contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance.


2. Follow the setup guide to position the input tray on the printer. Important!The envelope tray must be in the Tray 3 location.

   

   Note:  The tray part number 21K0787 is labeled on its box.



3. Download the most recent firmware for the printer

   Note:  Refer to the Drivers & downloads website



4. Update the printer firmware by following the steps found in the README_Updating_Firmware document



5. Download the tray firmware and load it to the printer by following the procedures found in the README_Updating_Firmware document.



6. The envelope tray is now ready to use.
