After a printer driver installation on Windows 8 or 10 computers, the automatic driver setup installs/adds the printer driver and sets incorrect paper settings. Hence, when printing documents, several issues are seen on the printer such as slower printing speed, and/or the printer keeps posting to change printer paper type.
Manually changing the driver paper settings to the required paper type will fix the issue. Follow these steps below to change the settings.
|Printer Model||Media type set in the printer driver after installation||Action|
2012 released printer:(MS/MX_31x_41x_51x_61x_71x _81x_91x, CS/CX_31x_41x_51x)
|Rough/Cotton||Open the printer driver preferences on the computer, and set the paper type to "Plain Paper" (Default).|
| 2016 released printer: (CS/CX_72x_82x_860, C6160, XC6152, XC8155, XC8160||Vinyl Label|
