A spam filter designed to prevent users from being bombarded with multiple e-mail alerts can also prevent users from testing their SMTP configuration for these same e-mail alerts.
If you know your e-mail server is configured correctly, you may need to reset the spam filter in order to regain supplies e-mail alert functionality. Contact Lexmark Technical Support to request assistance with resetting the spam filter.
E-mail alerts for supply notifications, such as "cartridge missing", are only sent once for each supply serial number. Moreover, the e-mail spam filter functions specifically to prevent users from being over-burdened with e-mail notifications; this can also lead to missed notifications in certain situations.
