Overview

This README file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK EMBEDDED Copitrak Integration application for Multifunction Printers (MFPs).

LEXMARK EMBEDDED Copitrak Integration is an embedded Java application that is installed as a flash file on MFPs that support Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v2.0. The LEXMARK EMBEDDED Copitrak Integration LeSF Application links Lexmark MFPs with the Copitrak Cost Recovery System, emulating a Copitrak document accounting/cost recovery terminal screen on the MFP touch screen. Because it is linked to the Copitrak cost Recovery System, the application allows firms to track copy, fax, and scan jobs anywhere on their network.

  1. Device memory requirements: A minimum of 256 MB RAM.

  2. This application requires an electronic license. To obtain a license, go to www.lexmark.com and click the "Contact Lexmark" link at the bottom of the screen.

LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE RELEASE

  1. The copy jobs are always tracked in the Copitrak server irrespective of any value that has been entered in the Copy Unit ID field. For a blank / wrong work code entered, the user is billed incorrectly.

  2. A non-billable account’s jobs are not billed but tracked in Copitrak Server.

  3. It was observed that if “<” is used as part of user id configuration and then the application was accessed, the application exits to the home screen.

  4. Bill is generated for Separator pages when they are used between documents.

  5. In E-mail, Selecting address by browse for shortcut returns to the Browse screen instead of E-mailing it.

  6. The favorite option is never displayed. The favorite cannot be configured also in the server. Favourites are configured by a WebEdit Module. Any hardware Copitrak terminal and via the Lasertrak print tracking application.

  7. The charges for a legal paper are deducted incorrectly.

  8. For CUSTOM JOB = true, the wrong information such as color, or black and white, is sent to copitrak server. This behavior depends individual first and last page color characteristics.
