What you will see
The printer posts a “System Timeout” Error.
The printer will post this error if it detects possible tampering with the toner cartridge security chip.
Leave the printer powered on for at least TEN minutes with the error message showing on its screen.
Then power off the printer for at least another TEN minutes. (This should reset its security and allow it to power up normally.)
Remove the toner and see if that will get rid of the message. (Replace the toner if necessary.)
If error persists, please perform an NVRAM reset.
Power it on again and see whether the error has cleared. If the error persists, please contact Lexmark Technical Support.
