Lexmark T65x&X65x ? Location of the Width Tray Guide in a 400-sheet Universal Adjustable Tray (UAT)

Overview

Some customers have asked whether the 400-sheet UAT (Universal Adjustable Tray) has a mechanism to adjust the width of the paper guide.

The tray does have a tab to adjust the width, but due to its relatively small size, customers may not be able to notice it. This document points the location of the tab used to move the width tray guide of a 400-sheet UAT.

Location of the Width Tray Guide

The width tray guide is the side restraint attached to the rear restraint of this optional tray. There is a tab on the right-hand side of the side restraint that has a black rubber indicator. Squeeze this tab to the left to slide the side restraint. See images below for its location.

NOTE:
Since the paper restraints are different, it only supports up to 13.75" in length from the UAT options. The 400-Sheet UAT can support as small as 3” x 7” up to 8.5” x 13.75” size of media. Also, the primary purpose of this tray is to feed smaller (short and narrow) media, making it more sensitive to problems feeding larger media.
