What you will see
A 919.01 Service Std. Bin 2Error appears when setting up a W840 or W850 Single Function printer with a Finisher.
Most likely cause
A Duplexer Option (PN: 25A0015) is not installed in the printer.
Explanation
When installing a W840 or W850 Single Function Printer with a Finisher, a Duplexer Option must be installed on the printer prior to installing the Finisher. If not, a 919.01 Service Std. Bin 2 Error will display.
IMPORTANT! This error is by design in the printer’s firmware. The Finisher is NOT supported to be installed on these printers without a Duplexer installed.
To order the Duplexer Option, go to www.lexmark.com and search using the Part Number: 25A0015.
For reference, the Duplex Option consists of two separate components that must both be installed. The Exit 2 Assembly (
A
), mounted on top of the existing exit assembly; and the Turnaround Assembly (B

Also, in order to install a finisher on a printer, the printer also has to have Optional Trays 3 and 4 installed; or the Optional Cabinet, to raise the printer to the same height as the finisher.
Additional information
The current Multifunction printer (MFP) models X85x and X86x all have the duplex option factory installed, so this error should not be seen on the MFP versions.
