Device Usage App Does Not Track or Report Usage for Uncompleted Jobs

What you will see

The Device Usage app does not track or report usage to the Lexmark Print Management ( LPM) or Lexmark Document Distributor ( LDD) when the print job(s) encounters either of the following scenarios:

  • Job does not complete with an intervention required message on the control panel (e.g., paper jam, out of paper, etc.)
  • The printer is turned off before the job completes.


NOTE:
The app reports data to LDD using the Software Client interface on Lexmark Management Console (LMC).

Recommended action

Resolve the intervention required message to complete the print job(s) or do not turn off the printer before the job completes.

Explanation

By design, the app only reports usage information when the job is either completed or cancelled.
