Remote Copy App PE Release Fix Information

Overview

This article provides a list of the latest fixed issues for the Remote Copy app and its corresponding PE release fix information.


NOTE:
Product Engineering (PE) version comprises intermediate releases that are created for the purpose of addressing specific issues.

Before you begin

  • The Remote Copy app PE release addresses ONLY the issues specified in this article.
  • The Remote Copy app PE release cited in this article are considered beta versions of the app.
  • Identify the printer's existing Remote Copy app version. To do so, open the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS), click Settings or Configuration, and then do one of the following:
    • Click Apps > Apps Management.
    • Click Device Solutions > Solutions (eSF).
    • Click Embedded Solutions.

How to obtain
Not all copied pages are printed on the remote printer when using Remote Copy 2.2.10.4.2.2.10.8 or higherWhile remote copy is still sending the bytes of the last page to the printer, it is cut off when returning to the main user interface of the app, thus causing the missing page.

Color print quality is pale compared to the original document.


Note:
This affects 2008, 2010, and 2012 models only.

2.2.10.4 or higher

Density was removed to address quality issue.

When copying multiple pages, the printer only prints the first few pages and then stops with a "Cannot communicate with the printer. Please contact your system administrator." error on the printer control panel.


Note:
This happens when copying four or more pages on any 2008 printer models.

2.2.10.2 or higherFixed longer closing transfer sessions on port 9100, which causes a time out and failure to resend the complete file.
