What you will see
The printer displays ‘34 Short Paper' error message or '200.11 Paper Jam' when feeding paper from the primary tray (Tray 1).
Explanation
IMPORTANT! The printer by design does not have a Media size sensing capability in its primary paper tray/Tray 1. Thus, the following scenario can occur:
- If the paper size is set in the operator panel to a length greater than the media loaded in the paper tray, a '34 Short Paper' message will result.
- If the paper size is set in the operator panel to a length shorter than the media loaded in the paper tray, a '200.11 Paper Jam' message will result.
Corrective action
Make sure to configure the Paper Size and Type settings on the Operator Panel and match it to the actual size/type of the paper loaded on Tray 1. Ensure also that the print job is requesting the correct size and type of the paper loaded on the tray.
