What you will see
The printer Operator Panel displays “32.37 Unsupported Cartridge”.
Most likely cause
Another Starter cartridge from a different C73x/X73x or C74x/X74x printer has been installed in the machine.
NOTE:Starter cartridge is the original cartridge provided with the printer when purchased. It is also named as “ship-with-equipment” (SWE) toner cartridge.
Shipped-with-equipment (SWE) toner cartridges are intended to be used in the printer they are shipped with; therefore, SWE cartridges from one printer may not print when installed in another printer.
Once a printer reaches a toner low condition with the original set of SWE cartridges, it can never accept another shipped-with cartridge from another printer. For this reason, SWE cartridges state on the top-right section of the label: “Operates only in shipped with device. Not for re-sale”.
Re-install the original SWE cartridges shipped with the printer. The 32.37 error should be cleared and might be replaced by a Toner Low message instead. This indicates that the machine recognizes the toner as its original SWE.
If this is the case, replace the SWE cartridge with replacement Aftermarket cartridges. All errors should clear and the printer should be able to print.
NOTE:Aftermarket Cartridges are the succeeding replacement cartridges purchased after the “ship-with-equipment” toner has been exhausted.
If the error persists even with a new Aftermarket cartridge, contact Lexmark Technical Support for additional troubleshooting recommendation.
