Yellow Toner Banding Appears on Every Printed Page of a Lexmark C746, C748, X746&X748 Printer/MFP

What you will see

The printed pages have repeating bands of yellow toner on the background.

Recommended solution

To resolve the issue, perform the Reset Color Calibration on the printer. To do this, follow the steps below.


NOTE:
The "Reset Color Cal" enables the alignment of the color planes using pre-programmed values.

Access the printer’s Diagnostic menu.

APower off the printer.
BPress and hold buttons

CPower on the printer.
DRelease the buttons when the progress bar displays.

On the Diagnostic menu, touch PRINTER SETUP.

Touch Reset Color Cal. “Resetting” displays.

The printer returns to the previous screen when calibration is complete. Touch Exit Diagnostic Mode and let the printer restart to normal mode.

Print a test page and see whether the yellow band clears. If the issue persists, contact Lexmark Technical Support for additional troubleshooting suggestions.
