Recommendation

Pre-conditions:

  • Make sure MyShortcut app is already installed on the printer.
  • Create Security Template: - Access Embedded Web Server (EWS). - Go to Settings > Security > Security Setup > Security Template - Add a Security Template.
  1. Set Security Template on MyShortcut app.

  2. Access MyShortcut app from the printer control panel.

  3. Create a shortcut.

  4. Access the shortcut created and observe the result.

It does not ask for a PIN or password when accessing or selecting the shortcut created on the control panel.

Contact Lexmark Technical Support to acquire the MyShortcut App beta version 1.6.0.4 and flash it to the printer.
