Scan Center and Scan to Network Apps Append Time Stamp File Name Explained

Overview

The Append time stamp feature on either the Scan Center or Scan to Network (SNF) app ensures that scanned files will not have the same file name.

The information added to the file name consists of a series of integers, each separated by an underscore ("_") character. In total, eight elements are added to the name (e.g., Set scan name_2015_10_12_08_00_59_224_025.tif).

About Scan Center

Starting with the CX72x, 82x, 86x Series MFPs, Scan to Network functionality was consolidated into Scan Center as a plug-in.

The Append time stamp setting now resides under Apps > Scan Center- Network Folders > Configure > Network Folder[Create Network Folder] > File.
