Not enough memory error when scanning using advance imaging options in Solution Composer

Overview

When scanning using an application deployed from the Lexmark Solution Composer (SoCo), it will scan all the pages and then shows a “Processing (a certain) %” until an error appears on the printer control panel. See this sample screen shot of the error:

NOTE:

This happens only when the app deployed from SoCo has the Advanced Imaging options set as Duplex + Blank Page Removal + Break on every page.

Solution

Updating the printer firmware to P541 or higher will fix the issue. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support to acquire the firmware fix.

NOTE: The Lexmark representative might ask for the printer's current firmware level. Please refer to this link Checking the latest Lexmark printer firmwarefor the steps. Once you obtain the file, you may proceed and update the firmware by following the steps from this link Updating the Lexmark printer firmware.
