What you will see
The printer posts a 900.42 Firmware Error when copying multiple pages (e.g., 70 pages) with color and graphics via the Multipurpose Feeder (MPF).
The error happens:
- AFTER selecting "Do not prompt, paper loaded" for the paper confirmation in the MPF (i.e., please change to Bond paper).
- BEFORE the first paper is pulled from the MPF to start the copy.
NOTE: This appears with a Secondary crash code: 1563 P4.stMain 001C-0105 page4/bios/PRJ/engine.c-7063: Invalid tray id: 1 @PROCESS P4.stMain:1563.
Affected Set-up/Environment
IMPORTANT! The set-up where the problem is encountered involves the following:
- MPF: Manual
- Paper Size: Letter
- Paper Type: Bond
Recommended solution
Update the printer’s firmware with PE Release code .P336 or later.
