How to configure Network Timeout and Socket Timeout

Issue description

This article provides information on the functions and how to configure the Network Timeout and Socket Timeout settings found in eDAS for User Tracking app.

Solution

  1. The Network Timeout setting lets the user set the time in seconds on how long it will wait for an operation from a client connecting to the server before it gets is canceled. To disable the timeout, they can set it to zero (0).

    Note:  By default, this is set to 10.

  2. The Socket Timeout setting will let the user set the time in seconds on how long the application waits for data from the server.This can be disabled by setting it to zero (0).

    Note:  By default, this is set to 5.
