Suggested remedy

Use the Universal Configuration File (UCF) export feature from the source printer and then use UCF import to the target devices. To do so, go to the printer's EWSSettingsImport/Export.

You may also use MarkVision Enterprise (MVE) for enforcing device policies.

IMPORTANT! Make sure the source and target devices are both upgraded to the same firmware level for best results.

Explanation

The Copy Printer Settings feature relies on Java Virtual Machine (JVM) to function, and recently released versions of JVM are rejecting this Java application's applet.

What does it do?

The printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) Copy Printer Settings feature enables the cloning of Lexmark printer settings from one device to another. The settings from a source printer can be copied to up to 15 target printers.
