Defect Symptom

Fuser Offset is an issue resulting in a repeated, light ghost image.

Troubleshooting
  1. Perform the "Color Adjust" procedure in the "Quality" menu.

  2. Print the "Print Defects Guide" in the "Help" menu and review the print samples.

  3. If the defect repeats down the page, use the defect ruler to determine which component is defective.
    NOTE:
    The toner cartridges or photoconductor units cause most print quality defects.

  4. If the defect component is not identified, determine whether the defect is similar to the defects pictured above. Should the defect be similar to the above image, please contact Lexmark Technical Support for other troubleshooting suggestions.
