Unable to scan with Scan to Network when certain settings are enabled

Issue description

An issue occurs with Scan to Network (SNF) when the following settings are used or enabled:

  • Color: Enabled
  • Resolution: Higher than 75 dpi

It is observed that the scanning process goes through, however, the document does not appear in the shared folder. There is also no error message that is prompted.


This is a limitation on Lexmark devices that were released last 2008‑2009. Due to the limited memory of these devices, it cannot handle large amounts of data like scanned files with color enabled and high resolution (greater than 75 dpi).

It is recommend to upgrade to a newer model with higher memory.
