Overview

This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK HOSTED TESTING AND GRADING application.

Lexmark Hosted Testing and Grading is an embedded Java application that is installed as a flash file on multifunction printers (MFPs) and single- function printers (SFPs) that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v2.0.

Hosted Testing and Grading enables teachers to use customized prompts on the printer control panel to print and grade personalized student test forms. The application can also be used to generate grade reports that can be printed, emailed, and/or saved after the tests have been graded. With Hosted Testing and Grading users can:

  • Use the printer control panel to print and grade customized test forms on standard paper.
  • Generate grade reports. Hosted Testing and Grading offers up to eight reports and one raw CSV data file.

The available reports are:

    • Student Grade Report
    • Student Statistics Report
    • Class Frequency Distribution Report
    • Test Statistics Report
    • Detailed Item Analysis Report
    • Condensed Item Analysis Report
    • Item Analysis Graph Report
    • Test Item Statistics Report
  • Print, email, and/or save grade reports.
  • Export grading data in CSV format for use with other systems.
  • Supported languages: Brazilian Portuguese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish

  1. Device memory requirements: A minimum of 256 MB RAM.

  2. The printer must have a hard drive installed and must be able to access the Internet.

  3. A unique school ID is required to activate the application, but is not required for installation on the printer.

  4. The printer emulation mode must be set to either PCL Emulation or PostScript Emulation. See the User's Guide for instructions on how to configure this setting.

  5. This application requires an electronic license. To obtain a license, go to www.lexmark.com and click the "Contact Lexmark" link at the bottom of the screen.
