What you will see
E-mail/FTP Setup allows for the following incompatible configuration combination:
- Secure PDF format, with
- PDF versions 1.2, or
- PDF version 1.3. NOTE:Scan-to-PC may be affected if using older versions of Adobe Reader.
Explanation
This is not a Lexmark limitation. It is due to PDF versions 1.2 and 1.3 not being able to fully support Secure PDF. Secure PDF Support NOTE: While PDF 1.7 (Acrobat 8/9) is not represented in this chart, any secure PDF created with PDF 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 can be read by these latest Adobe Acrobat releases.

Suggested Actions
Select PDFversion 1.4 or higher in E-mail or FTP Setup.
Do not use the Secure PDF file format if you must use PDF version 1.2 or PDF version 1.3.
