New Features

6. Hard disk service has been added for supported MFPs. This allows users to retrieve files from an MFP's hard disk drive (HDD).



7. Function Access Control (FAC) support has been added to eSF v3.0 printers. This allows system administrators to restrict use of the application to particular users.



8. Markvision Professional (MVP) support for eSF v1.2 and v2.0 printers has been added.

Limitations and Compatibility of the release

1. If a bookmark that uses the "Use static Username and Password" authentication option is exported, the password is exported as blank for security concerns. Therefore, the bookmark cannot be accessed after it is imported to another device. To successfully access this bookmark after importing, the administrator must edit the bookmark to provide the correct password.

2. Shortcuts (icons on the printer home screen) to bookmarks are not exported. The bookmarks themselves are exported, but home screen shortcuts to the bookmarks are not exported.

3. Forms Premium supports the following file types: PDF, JPEG, TIFF, TXT, PS, PRN, PCL, XPS, and HTML-based Web pages.

4. Empty folders are not exported.

5. Forms Premium can export a maximum of 55 bookmarks.

6. A duplicate bookmark name cannot be entered via the printer operator panel. However, a duplicate bookmark name can be created via the printer's configuration Web page.

7. On eSF v1.2 MFPs that do not have a hard drive, the user must restart the MFP after installing Forms Premium for the application to work properly.

8. For eSF v1.2 MFPs, PNG images are not supported for the Welcome Screen Icon and the Icon When Pressed.

9. or eSF v2.0 MFPs without hard drives, when a hard disk drive (HDD) bookmark is created from the printer's configuration Web page, no error message shows.

10. When a user tries to print a secure PDF file via a bookmark that was created from the printer's operator panel, the user is not prompted to enter a password and the file is not printed.

11. The maximum file size that can be printed from a network location depends on the MFP. Some MFPs can print larger file sizes than others.

12. The settings import and export operations are not supported on eSF v1.2 MFPs.

13. For eSF v1.2 MFPs, after upgrading to the latest version of Forms Premium (v2.1.0), the printer's configuration Web page shows that a license is required to run the application and there is no option to update the license. To get around this, the user can either uninstall the old version of the application and then reinstall the new version followed by the license upload, or restart the MFP after the new version is installed.

14. An HDD bookmark can only be created through the printer's configuration Web page if every password-protected folder in the bookmark's path hierarchy has the same password.

15. For eSF v3.0 printers, color is not a supported option when printing HTTP and HTTPS bookmarks. However, the option mistakenly appears in the printer's operator panel and configuration Web page. See list above.
