How to back up or transfer shortcuts for Scan, Fax, E-mail, and various other workflows

Overview

This article explains how you can back up or import and export shortcuts your Multifunction Printer (MFP) shortcuts.

Export your shortcuts to file

Step	Action	Sample Illustration (X642 example)
1	Go to the Web browser of the printer.	How to access the web browser of the X644e/X646e and X85Xe multifunction printers for instructions.
2	Click on Configuration or Settings
3	Click on Import/Export.
4	Choose Export Shortcuts File.
5	Then choose Save (note the file name: Shortcutsfile.ucf).

Import shortcuts

Step	Action	Example
1	Go to the Web browser of the printer.	How to access the web browser of the X644e/X646e and X85Xe multifunction printers for instructions.
2	Click on Configuration.
3	Click on Import/Export.
4	Select Import Shortcuts File.
5	Browse to the file Shortcutsfile.ucf and click Submit.
