How to Restart Lexmark Document Distributor (LDD) Solutions Application Server (LSAS) Services (April 2011)

Restart considerations

Restart the Lexmark Solutions Application Server (LSAS) if you install a workflow solution that includes either a component having LDD dependences or that requires LDD be aware of this solution's presence.

NOTE:
Other reasons for this procedure may exist, but it recommended you consult with a member of Technical Integration Services or Lexmark Technical Support before performing this procedure.

Procedure

  1. Set the server to offline.

IMPORTANT! Failure to take down the application server may result in a loss of critical workflows. Therefore it is recommended that notification be sent to all users before performing this procedure.

To do this:

  1. Set the server offline on the System tab in the Lexmark Management Console (LMC).

  2. Select the server you are trying to restart.

  3. Click Set Offline.

  4. Click Refresh, and make sure "Offline" is reported in the status column for the server that you are restarting.

  5. You can restart the Lexmark Solutions Application Server from Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.

NOTE:
Manual changes are lost when you restart the Lexmark Solutions Application Server service. Any solution-related file in the \Lexmark \Solutions\apps\wf-ldss\ or \Lexmark\Solutions\apps\wf-ldss\solutions folders, such as a property file for a solution, reverts to the version found in the initially installed or upgraded solution package.
