How to Update the IP Address of an LDD Workgroup Install

Who's this for?

Administrators moving a server that hosts LDD and LPM to a different TCP/IP address will require the Server IP address be changed. This is applicable to configurations where all LDD and LPM components reside on one server.

Before you begin

  • The commands below are run from a command prompt and require administrator privileges. Select "Run as Administrator" when you right-click on the cmd.exe icon.
  • You will need the batch files found in the InstallHelper folder, which is located in C:\Program Files\Lexmark\Solutions\InstallHelper.
  • You may also find these files in the Solutions folder if your installation folder is in another location.
  • This will restart the Apache, Firebird, LSAS and other LDD-related services, so it is recommended you perform this task during off-peak hours or when the system is not in use.

Changing the server IP address

  1. Open your command prompt as administrator.

  2. Navigate to the InstallHelper directory folder; i.e., C:\Program Files\Lexmark\Solutions\InstallHelper. Use the cd command to get to this folder.
