Overview
When scanning using the Lexmark Scan Center from the computer, where the printer is connected via USB to a computer, selecting “ BW” option and clicking Scan, a Communication Error dialog box appears.
Recommended solution
In Scan Center, select the “ Gray” option instead of “BW” to fix the issue. Scanning in grayscale will provide the black-and-white scan output.
