Verify that the card you are inserting is indeed an IPDS card. NOTE: IPDS cards designed for other Lexmark printers may not work with this printer.
Remove the system board access cover as shown below.
Referring to the diagram of the controller board below, take note of the locations of the card connectors on the board.
Holding the IPDS card by the locking clips, align the plastic pins on the card with the holes on the system board as shown below.
Push the IPDS card firmly into place and release the locking clips. The entire length of the connector on the IPDS card must touch the system board and be locked into the connec tor. CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the connectors.
Verify that the IPDS card is recognized by printing a Menu Settings Page.
