NOTES:
- The toner is not melted and fused to the paper, thus causing it to smear.
- Adjusting the printer media settings can usually correct this problem.
Recommended troubleshootingDetermine the kind of media that you are using and make sure that it matches the printer media type and weight/texture settings.
Verify the fuser unit is installed properly. Replace the fuser if needed.
If defect persists or you are having difficulties replacing the fuser, please contact Lexmark Technical Support.
