Overview
This document outlines the steps to reset the NVRAM of a network-capable Lexmark 25xxn+ Forms (Dot Matrix) printers.
NOTES:
- NVRAM reset is usually performed to refresh the printer’s network configuration.
- The suffix “n” on the model number indicates that the printer is network capable.
Procedure
Step | Action |
1 | Turn the printer OFF by pressing and holding the START/STOP button until the POWER LED turns orange/amber. |
2 | Move the printhead all the way to the left or to the home position. |
3 | Using a blunt-pointed object (a ballpoint pen cover, for example), gently press and hold the button located in a small opening just above the printer's Ethernet port. Click here to see its location. |
4 | Turn ON the printer by tapping START/STOP button once while still pressing and holding the network button. |
5 | Release the network button once printhead initializes or after the printhead moves back and forth from the home position. |
