This article provides a brief description on the how to adjust the fax memory use settings to maximize performance.
Also consider this procedure if the following symptoms are observed when sending or receiving a fax:
- 818 fax errors displayed on transmission log. This can occur with Fax Send jobs and indicates insufficient memory on device to store scanned image.
- 819 fax errors displayed on the fax call log. This can occur with Fax Receive jobs and indicates indicating insufficient memory to store received image.
- 38 Memory full displayed on the LCD; however, this message is often remedied by adding more memory to the printer.
This fax setting corresponds to the amount of memory on the MFP allocated for send and receive fax storage functions.
