Purpose
This article explains what job accounting is and how to enable this built-in feature.
Job Accounting: available statistics
MFD (multi-function device) print and copy usage data can be tracked using job accounting.
The following job accounting statistics are viewable through the embedded web server (EWS) under Reports:

Toner Darkness | Physical, or software driver setting for toner darkness |
Click here for an EWS view of the the Job Accounting log. (EWS access is through http://, where is the IP address of the printer. Print the network settings page for this TCP/IP parameter.) The Job Accounting Statistics log is available for viewing only after the feature is activated. See below for instructions on activating job accounting.
How to enable Job Accounting
From the user interface (UI):

3 | Select Print Settings. |
4 | Select Setup Menu. |
5 | Select Job Accounting. |
6 | Toggle back and forth between ON and OFF. |
7 | Press Submit. Wait a moment while the machine reboots.* |
* A reboot takes between 30 seconds and 3 minutes depending on multiple variables.
From the embedded web server (EWS):
Again, EWS access = http:// <MFD_IP_ADDRESS>, where is the TCP/IP address of the printer. Print the network settings page from the device if unsure of this value.

Job Accounting limitation
| Feature | Explanation |

3MB Log capacity | MFD stops writing to the Job Accounting Statistics log on ce a capacity of 3MB is reached. To clear a job accounting log (UI): Menus-->Settings-->Print Settings-->Utilities Menu-->Job Acct Stat--> Clear. |
Advanced Job Accounting available
If additional job accounting abilities are required for billing purposes, or you wish to have a more comprehensive account of device activity, you should consider LeDAS (Lexmark Embedded Document Accounting Solution), or LDAS (Lexmark Document Accounting Solution)* combined with a third-party software solution such as Pharos.
