Supplies Needed for Cleaning the Glass on the Lexmark 4600 Series Scanners

This article provides information on the supplies needed for cleaning the glass on the Lexmark 4600 series scanner as well as on the recommended frequency of cleaning.

You will need the following items to clean the scanner glass thoroughly:

• Damp paper towels
• An ammonia-free, de-ionized glass cleaner (the Sparkle (TM) brand glass cleaner is recommended if available in your area) NOTE: Do not use alcohol to clean the glass.

ADF Scan Window: Once a week, or as required due to vertical streaks appearing on scanned documents.Flatbed Scan Window: Once a month, or as required due to print quality degradation on scanned documents.
