Explanation of the error message
A 260 Paper Jam message indicates that an envelope has been detected in the MFP's paper path and needs to be removed.
CAUTION - HOT SURFACE!To reduce the risk of injury from a hot component, allow the surface to cool before touching it.
Recovery steps
Step | Action | Illustration |
1 | Lift the envelope weight and remove all envelopes from the MFP. NOTE: If the jammed envelope has entered the MFP and cannot be pulled out, remove the envelope feeder.  Lift the envelope feeder out of the MFP, and set it aside. Remove the envelope from the MFP. NOTE: If you cannot remove the envelope, the print cartridge will have to be removed. For information on removing the print cartridge, 200 and 201 paper jam. Reinstall the envelope feeder. Make sure that it snaps firmly into position.
