Open the staple access door.
Remove the staple cartridge holder.
Open the staple guard, and then remove the loose staples.
Close the staple guard.
Press the staples against the metal bracket.
Note: If the staples are at the rear of the cartridge, then shake the cartridge downward to bring the staples near the metal bracket.
Insert the staple cartridge holder.
Close the staple access door.
If necessary, press 
on the control panel.
