Turn off the printer.
Open door D.
Remove the ADF pick roller cover.
Remove the ADF feed roller.
Warning—Potential Damage: Some parts of the printer are easily damaged by static electricity. Before touching any parts or components in an area marked with the static‑sensitive symbol, touch a metal surface in an area away from the symbol.
Unpack the new ADF feed roller.
Insert the new ADF feed roller until it clicks into place.
Insert the ADF pick roller cover until it clicks into place.
Close door D.
Turn on the printer.
Change the ADF separator roller when you start to experience page skewing, misfeeding, or multifeeding. Learn how to remove and install the roller.
Prevent misfeeds and paper jams by checking the ADF pick roller. Replace the roller if it is damaged or when a maintenance warning appears.
