The Update Status feature lets you update the printer status and supplies information. To make sure that the printer status and supplies information is current, update the status regularly.
From the Printers menu, click Printer Listing.
Select one or more printers.
Click Printer > Update status.
Note: A status update can be scheduled to occur regularly. For more information, see Creating a schedule.
