Multi‑colored full page background marks check

Issue description

When printing a colored page document, multi‑colored background marks appear on the output. The print quality defect DOES NOT appear when printing black only page documents.

Solution

  1. Open Door B.

    • For single function printers:
    • For multifunction printers:
  2. Remove the Waste Toner Bottle.

  3. Unplug green cable.

  4. Remove the imaging kit. Pull the unit out of the device and set on flat surface.

  5. Press the pogo pin (A) to ensure it springs back out.

  6. Reinstall the imaging kit and plug in the green cable.

  7. Insert the Waste Toner Bottle then close Door A and Door B.

  8. Perform a test print and check if the issue persists.

Note:  If this occurred upon a new install, replace the color imaging kit. Refer to these steps to replace an imaging unit.
