663.33 or 167.54 Error code when using the Optional 2000-sheet tandem tray

Issue description

A 663.33 error appears after doing any of the following steps:

• Turning on the printer.
• Inserting the trays on the optional 2000-sheet tandem tray.

If the incorrect paper stacking continues during multiple tray insertions, the 663.33 error could become a non-clearable 167.54 service error.

Solution

The most common cause of these error codes is the incorrect stacking of paper in the optional 2000-sheet tandem tray.

To resolve this issue, properly stack the sheets of paper on both sides before inserting the trays.

Note:  Make sure that no paper is in contact with the Paper stack end guide (A).

If the 167.54 error message does appear, turn off the printer and turn it back on.
