This article describes the color alignment defect that may appear as excess lines or halos.
NOTE: Sometimes the image may show as being shifted.

Troubleshooting
To correct the issue, perform the Color Adjust Procedure. See steps below:
For Lexmark C73x printer
Step | Action |
1 | While the printer is Ready, press the menu button. |
2 | Press until appears next to Settings, then press . |
3 | Press until appears next to Quality Menu, then press . |
4 | Press until appears next to Color Adjust, press to initiate the auto-alignment process. |
5 | The printer will return to Ready mode once the progress bar reach 100%. |
6 | Send a print job and check the result. Did the Color Adjust corrected the issue? Yes: Issue resolved. No: Contact Lexmark Technical Support for other troubleshooting suggestions. |
For Lexmark X73x MFP
Step | Action |
1 | While the printer is Ready, touch . |
2 | Press next to Settings. |
3 | Press to scroll down, and press next to Print Settings. |
4 | Press next to Quality Menu. |
5 | Press to scroll down. Look for Color Adjust and press the next to it, to initiate the auto-alignment process. |
6 | Send a print job and check the result. Did the Color Adjust corrected the issue? Yes: Issue resolved. No: Contact Lexmark Technical Support for other troubleshooting suggestions. |
