Issue Description:
After updating firmware to EC1(FW3 - .30.58) and authenticating with a Pharos 4.2 server, both eDAS and RegisterMe reveal an LDAP bind failed authentication error message.
Upon further investigation:
Port used... | With app... | Server connection... |
3269 LDAP Server Settings | eDAS | Failed |
636 | Register Me | Failed |
3268 (non-SSL) | eDAS | Accepted |
389 (non-SSL) | Register Me | Accepted |
This proved LDAP configuration settings were valid but that an issue resided with an SSL connection to the server.

Solution:
Update your version of eDAS to 4.1.3 and RegisterMe to 4.0.5. These latest app versions are located in the Virtual Solutions Center (VSC) and compatible with FW3 (PP, YK, CB, ATL.030.058a and above).

Explanation:
The Pharos 4.2 server uses the MD5-security certificate, which utilizes an older security SHA1-certificate. This worked fine with the last generation of firmware and previous devices, however, for security enhancement reasons, newer devices equipped with FW3 now support newer security certificates based on SHA256. This security enhancement caused FW3-equipped devices to refuse connection to the server.
